Patchwork Party and Quilt Jamboree

On Sunday I travelled with a friend to Buncrana, Co. Donegal to the Patchwork Party and Jamboree, which was organised by Gaye Grant of the Fennel Shed.

Everyone was invited to join in the 'Bind us Together' project. Blocks were donated and sewn together by various people. The binding was being sewn on by people who attended the jamboree.

Quilts were displayed in a large bedding centre, all of which were on sale, with all proceeds going to the Irish Cancer Society, the Oncology Unit at Letterkenny General Hospital and Belfast City Hospital Cancer Care.

We met up with Frances Sawaya, who was looking after a beautiful display of antique quilts.

And met Valerie Eames, who made this fantastic 'Dear Jane' quilt, it was amazing!
