Finally, I can show you what I was making with those Kansas Troubles Favourites fabrics!
Ballynanny Bluebells, which is featured in the latest Irish Quilting magazine.
This quilt was inspired by the tiled floor in our Church porch.
We belong to Ballynanny Methodist Church.
And the bluebells are found in a wooded area just behind the Church.

The quilt was long arm quilted by Beryl Cadman. She did a fabulous job on the quilt and the threads she used really highlighted the designs.
Unfortunately the bluebells were not in bloom when the photos were taken, but the cherry blossom was just beginning to peep through!

ReplyDeleteThe fabric collection I'm loving is "Hideaway" by Moda. I lived in Germany for 7 years, and it reminds me of the houses and the countryside. I'm going to have to break down and get me some and make me a "memory" quilt. I keep saying I'm not going to buy any more fabrics, but "Hideaway" may make me change my mind.

I love anything by moda lately, but especially things in blue
I am a follower and I tend to have more quilts in bright colors but that may be because I am making them for my grandchildren and baby quilts. I made a wonderful quilts for my daughter that was in shades of burgundy and forest green on a muslin background that I really loved because it reminded me of Christmas.

What a beautiful quilt!! I have been sending my Grandmother fat quarters and other yardage of Kansas Troubles all winter to keep her busy! She is 80 years old and keeps saying she is going to stop sewing! But as long as I send her fabric she continues to use it so...
