Flags

I blogged about this flag back in April.
I made it for my son who plays rugby for Dungannon Under 19s.
The 1st XV team had an important match back in the Springtime,
so as an enthusiastic supporter, I thought he needed a flag!
It did come back in unscathed from the match and is presently hanging in the clubhouse!
It measures approx. 55" x 36".
Once I had the crest drawn out, with the help of some Bondaweb,
it all came together quite quickly.
This summer, I thought I would make my nephew a similar one.
He is going on tour with the 1st XV team to the USA next month. (Boston area I think!)
I wonder if it will come back in one piece?:)

  1. What an amazing flag - I'm relatively new to your blog so I hadn't seen it before! Fingers crossed it does come back in one piece - it is too lovely to be spoilt!

  2. What great flags! I'm sure your nephew's team will take good care of it.... those things don't grow on trees!

I made a much simpler banner for my kids swim team way back when they were in high school. The coach was surprised and treated that banner like it was made out of gold or something... and hung the banner at every meet!

  3. Great flags! My nephew plays rugby for Lurgan Tigers and I'm planning on making him a quilt for his 16th birthday in the club colours. Fingers crossed. Jxo
