Where the mountains of Mourne sweep down to the sea..

At the minute my blogability seems to have taken a vacation.
I guess with children about home all day, there seems to be a million other things to do.
Last week my sister and my two youngest travelled to Newcastle, Co.Down.
'Where the mountains of Mourne sweep down to the sea..' so said Percy French.
It was a blustery day, but in between showers my daughters had a swim in the outdoor pool!
Not just the ideal weather conditions, but at least it was heated!
Sewing at the minute is very slow, although some flying geese did take off today!
Hopefully I'll have some pictures next week.

  1. How lovely the mountains look... I've not been to a beach that had mountains...

Spending time with your girls is more important than sewing... they grow up too fast!

  2. Happy Holidays, Karen! I live in Newcastle which is on the coast, BUT I'm in Australia, about 100 miles north of Sydney. Too cold here for swimming at the moment-it's Winter. :)

  3. The clouds coming down over the mountains is beautiful. Enjoy your holiday! I just wanted to let you know I received the fun fabrics and I can't wait to play with them. Thank you so much! :)
