New arrival

I just have a couple of photos to share with you today.
This past weekend has been hectic in our house -
School half term and general Halloween madness is not conducive to sewing!
I got an old chair reupholstered this week, it really was in a sorry state
and I wish I had taken a 'before' photo of it.
This is the 'after' photo:
I had picked some tartan fabric in terracotta and green and am so delighted with the way it turned out. I had considered attempting to do it myself, but am so glad I didn't even try!
I did make the little Scottie dog to go with it using the pattern found here, I gave him a little leather collar and named him Hamish!
Yesterday saw the arrival of another new addition to our house:
oh yes! a GO! baby!
Things may be quiet here for a while - I've got a new baby to look after;)

  1. Your chair turned out very nicely and I love Hamish!

Have fun with you new baby!

  2. Love your little Scottie dog -- I made one several years ago from a pattern in one of the quilting magazine. I think I may need to make a couple more! Have fun with your Go! :)

  3. Gorgeous chair, and Hamish looks right at home! Enjoy your new baby! Jxo

  4. Aww, love your wee Scottie Dog, and enjoy the new arrival!

  5. that's a lovely plaid fabric that you got the chair covered in

  6. That's a great tutorial. I just might have to take the plunge for the Go!
